The NFL has picked their top candidates for this year’s Super Bowl performances, and regarding the PG-13 status the league wants to portray we have artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Coldplay. It’s safe to say that the most controversial artist would be Rihanna, however, she may draw crowds towards the millions.
Reps have said:
“At least some of the acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig.” The WSJ has said that whomever of the three was offered the “pay-to-play” model had chilly responses. SPIN would like to pay for the video of Rihanna, currently in the middle of her “Monster” tour with Eminem, laughing that offer aside.”
