
Rihanna makes a charitable donation of supplies to New York to help combat the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, the popstar and business mogul worked with her nonprofit the Rihanna Foundation to send personal protective equipment to the state. Gov. Cuomo posted a Tweet, thanking the singer for her generous contributions.
I want to thank @rihanna and the Rihanna Foundation for donating Personal Protective Equipment to New York State.
We're so appreciative of your help and that of so many others who have stepped up.

Rihanna and the Clara Lionel Foundation have also donated monetarily to aid in coronavirus relief efforts globally. She has donated 5 million to Barbados and the United States. Her financial efforts will help fund research to cure and treat COVID-19, expand testing, and buy medical supplies.
Rihanna’s philanthropic efforts and business achievements earned her the Presidents Award during the 2020 NAACP Image Awards.
