R&B star Rihanna reportedly has a crush on basketball player Rashard Lewis and is desperate to go on a date with him.
The ‘Umbrella’ singer was in the crowd to see Orlando Magic versus Los Angeles Lakers last week and friends claim she watched the game because she has a crush on Orlando player Lewis, New York Daily News reported.
“Rihanna is trying to get to know Rashard. She’s digging on him, and she hopes the feeling is mutual,” a source close to the singer said.
The singer was previously linked with Lakers star Andrew Bynum, but Rihanna’s friends insist that there is nothing romantic between them.
“Rihanna and Andrew are just friends, and they have been for a while. It’s Rashard who she wants. She thinks he’s hotter than hot,” the source added.
Interestingly, it was rumoured that Rihanna is planning to patch with ex-lover Chris Brown who was also in the crowd to see the game.
However, the newspaper stated that Rihanna avoided seeing Brown who has been accused of assaulting the singer in February. She left straight after the game, and spent much of the half-time break in a hospitality lounge.
Meanwhile Brown also maintained the distance during the match. “Chris was definitely trying to make the situation less awkward. He was trying to be very grownup, and wanted Rihanna to see that as well,” another source said.
