Rihanna has landed herself another magazine cover. Looking mighty blonde and might tan, the ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ singer bares almost all on the cover of V Magazine’s Summer 2015 issue. The singer, who is currently enjoying the success of her two latest singles, ‘FourFiveSeconds’ and ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ has shared very little to no details on the status and/or sound of the upcoming project. Well, today’s a lucky day for Rihanna fans who are eagerly awaiting #R8, as the singer shared a tidbit of information with V Magazine and even discussed one of her favorite tracks. The folks at Huffington Post was able to note some important music information pertaining to the long-awaited album.
She does, however, care about her new music. “Dude, I’m in love with my interludes. This one called ‘James,’ joint is on constant repeat,” she told the magazine. “[The album is] soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice.”
“The thing that made me fall in love with [‘FourFiveSeconds’] is the juxtaposition of the music and the lyrics,” she told V. “When you read the lyrics it’s a completely different song than what you are hearing. The music is easygoing, but the lyrical content is very loud and in your face. In performing this, the key was to make sure the aggression wasn’t lost.”
Slowly but surely, everything seems to be shaping up to be a great launch for Rihanna’s 8th studio album. As we await more details, we all can enjoy the lovely spread provided by V Magazine. The issue will be on stands on May 7th.
