If you haven’t been familiar with Rico Nasty’s career thus far, you should start paying attention now. In 2017, Rico Nasty developed a following after releasing Sugar Trap 2 and Sugar Trap Tacobella. Since then, Rico Nasty has been travelling and building momentum for what has been an already great 2018. After being snubbed for the 2018 XXL Freshman List earlier this week, Rico Nasty announced her twenty-eight city tour and the release of her newest project, NASTY.
Rico’s newest project tonight arrived tonight and it delivered in every sense of the word. The fourteen track project features guest appearances from Lil GNAR and Blocboy JB out of Memphis, Tennessee. Among the fourteen tracks, songs like “In The Air”, “Hockey” and “Trust Issues”. Rico shows off for her doubters when she raps, “I got people turnin’ heads everywhere that I go/Kenny on the beat, so you know the beat fye/Talkin’ too much, my n*ggas pull up with that fye/Five grams to the face, b*tch, that’s a high five/You work a nine to five, I make nine bands five times/Guns like we in the army, hope you roger that/You tryna get a follow back and I be where the dollars at/I make mo’ money than my old teachers and I’m proud of that/You thought you was teachin’ me, well, bitch, I shoulda taught yo a**.”
From top to bottom, this project has the signature Rico Nasty touch and is full of everything you could want from the Washington, D.C. based rapper. The newly signed, Atlantic Records artist will begin her tour on July 27th in Richmond, VA. If you liked what you heard, be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.
