The French and Spanish national basketball teams faced off in the EuroBasket semifinals on Thursday, with the Spaniards coming out on top on the back of a forty point, eleven rebound performance by Pau Gasol. Although Spain’s advance into the finals should be the main story from the game, in the hours following it, a more intriguing story line has emerged in the form of international beef between Ricky Rubio and Rudy Gobert.
Following the game, Frenchman and Utah Jazz center Gobert took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the officiating of the game. Rubio, point guard for Spain and the Minnesota Timberwolves, took exception to the tweet with one of his own:
No class act https://t.co/q8uj3t7DP8

Oh and in case you needed a comparison, Rubio provided that too:

For his part, Gobert sort of apologized with a tweet saying Gasol and Spain are a great player and team, respectively. Somehow, I don’t think that will make Rubio any happier. If you needed any more reason to watch games between the Jazz and Wolves in the upcoming season, you just got it.
