Rick Ross is looking to expand the Maybach Music Group roster. On Thursday, the Miami native let the world know he’d like to add Ye, formerly Kanye West, to his music imprint. In his words, the prospect of signing the Grammy Award winner is “extremely realistic.”
“As I’m inhaling the alkaline air, my brain is enhanced with oxygen, on special levels. I just had an amazing idea, a boss idea,” Ross said, according to Demicia Inman of VIBE.
“This is something that’s extremely realistic to me. We’ve created amazing masterpieces in the past.”
Ye and Rick Ross have a long history of working together. Over the years, they’ve delivered records like “Devil In A New Dress,” “I Wish You Would,” “Sanctified” and “Live Fast, Die Young.”
Rick Ross is not only trying to sign Ye, but he’s also back in the studio. The MMG frontman is preparing to release a new album called Too Good To Be True with Meek Mill. Thus far, the duo has unleashed visuals for the project’s two lead singles, “Shaq & Kobe” and “Lyrical Eazy.” The full project is set to be released on Friday, November 10.
