According to multiple reports, rapper and entrepreneur, Rick Ross, was found unresponsive in his Florida home earlier today. According to TMZ, a 911 call that came from Ross’s Miami area residence described the father of two as “combative”, “in distress” and dealing with “heart-related issues”. While none of these reports have been confirmed by Ross’s camp, it would not be far-fetched for the Miami rapper to be dealing with serious medical issues. Seven years ago, Ross was hospitalized multiple times after suffering seizures. As reports of this most recent incident have developed, many of Ross’s friends, associates and allies have taken to social media to express their concern for the MMG leader’s well being.

While many within the entertainment industry have been praying for Ross’s well being, one of rap’s most notable acts made the loudest statement about Ross’s hospitalization without saying anything. Ross’s biggest adversary over the course of his career, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, took to social media to let off a laughing emoji and a caption that read, “no comment”. This isn’t new for the Grammy Award-winning rapper, who has been one of the most vocal figures in entertainment during his nearly two-decade run. Most importantly, Ross and Jackson have a long history of beef that stems back ten years to the release of Ross’s Mafia Music where he jokes about the mother of one of Jackson’s children.

As this story continues to develop, we send well wishes to Ross’s children, loved ones, and friends. In a two year span where Hip-Hop has lost Prodigy, Phife Dawg, and many others, it would be a shame to lose one of the more impactful forces within entertainment over the past decade. Get well soon Ross!
