There’s a lot of things to like when it comes to media day, you see the players on your favourite team back in their colours, playing around, taking totally boss photos. It’s a good day to be an NBA fan.
But there’s one thing I love. When two people say two completely different things when talking about the same subject. Ah the confusion! Here’s a prime example. Wesley Matthews, obviously recovering from an achilles injury. Now today most people were looking for a date of return, at least a ballpark figure. Rick Carlisle gave a Christmas time return. Matthews, opening night.

Parsons may be ready for opener, Matthews maybe by Christmas, according to Rick Carlisle, declining to be pinned by more specific timetable. — Brad Townsend (@townbrad) September 28, 2015
BIT of a different there!
I mean surely you hash it out before you all have your separate interviews so you all sound synchronised. This is way off! I bet they read each others respective quotes and went “What?”. And notice how Townsend put “maybe”, could it be possible that Carlisle isn’t sure about a December/Christmas return?
