Richard Sherman once again is making his opinion known to the NFL world. Sherman told reporters on Wednesday that the only reason the NFL makes teams injury reports public “for all the gamblers”.
“From what I understand the reports are for the gamblers,” Sherman said. “You know, for Vegas, to make sure the odds are what they’re supposed to be—which is apparently what the league is concerned about. You talk about injuries and things like that, so maybe somebody should look into that. I thought we weren’t a gambling league, that we’re against all those things, but our injury report is specifically to make sure the gamblers get their odds right.”

The Seahawks cornerback has been listed on these reports both weeks this year after being off of it all of last year. After Pete Caroll said Sherman had been playing through a hip injury the league sent the Seahawks a warning for violating such a report.
“They’ve got to put that his ankle is sore, his hip is sore or he’s got a bruise on his hand. But guys are tough—if you are going to play, what’s the point?” Sherman continued after calling the reports “meaningless”.
Sherman may believe this due to his rep as a guy to tough injuries out. Head coach Pete Carroll said, “99 percent” of players wouldn’t have suited up last week with Shermans injury. He has made 98 consecutive starts since being drafted in 2011, it is unclear if he will be in this weeks report.
