After Monday Night’s surprisingly tough game, the “best corner in the game” Richard Sherman ripped Pierre Garcon. The reason? There’s speculation that it was due to Garcon pulling Sherman’s dreadlocks. This was enought to incite Sherman calling Garcon irrelevant, by saying “he doesn’t matter in this league”.
When asked what prompted his outburst, unapologetically Sherman replied,
“Yeah, Pierre did a few things. When you can’t get open, you got to do whatever you can.”
After having verbal bouts with both San Francisco’s Michael Crabtree and Arizona’s Patrick Peterson, this tantrum came as no surprise. Sherman later insisted that he meant what he said, and in response Garcon tweeted a graphic containing the phrase “Silence is the best response to a fool.”
