It is no secret that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors do not like each other. Many of their heated on court discussions have been centered around Draymond Green. This is not a coincidence, it is how Draymond plays, with passion. That fire often manifests in smack talk specifically crafted for his adversary in that moment. When Richard Jefferson was asked about that smack talk, he had some incisive thoughts on the matter according to Kevin Jones of KNBR.

Jefferson’s comments seem like perfect potential bulletin board material but what isn’t at this point. Each side has obtained a party sized bag of chips on their collective shoulders over the past 11 months. Expect Draymond to play with just as much fire as he usually does with a touch more restraint. Last year’s Finals will be looming large in the back of his head after the altercation with LeBron cost him a game and possibly a Finals win for the Warriors. Hopefully, that restraint does not diminish the amount of trash talk we get to watch in the Finals.
