The past eight months have been incredible for Atlanta rapper, Rich The Kid. In March, Rich The Kid earned his first platinum plaque for his single, “New Freezer“, featuring TDE’s King Kendrick Lamar. Since then, the Rich Forever CEO has released his debut studio album and earned another gold single with “Plug Walk”. As recently as last night, Rich The Kid was on Instagram Live celebrating the accumulation of eight platinum plaques this year.
Unfortunately, Rich The Kid’s celebration was cut short last night because of unforeseen complications. Early this morning, a photo was posted of Rich The Kid laying in a hospital bed with a neck brace was posted to the rapper’s Instagram page. While this report has yet to be confirmed, it appears Rich The Kid’s hospitalization could be the result of a home invasion. TMZ states, “He was at his girlfriend Tori Brixx’s home Thursday night when two masked men entered demanding cash and jewelry. We’re told Rich tried to fight them off, and that three more men came into the home brandishing guns.” The report also adds, “The men beat Rich up, and got away with a significant amount of cash and jewelry. We’ve confirmed the rapper was admitted to a hospital for treatment.”
