Everything about ‘The LEGO Movie’ is awesome.
It boasts an all star cast, has great animation and is hilarious, touching an heartfelt in all the right pieces. Places.
The film follows an average and lonely construction worker named Emmet who is mistaken for ‘The Special One” which is mentioned in a prophecy. He then has to rally the other master builders and embark on a journey to prove himself and save the LEGO worlds.
Undoubtedly the first big “block”buster of the year, ‘The LEGO Movie’ is perfect for people of all ages. There are plenty of laughs along the way as Emmet and friends trek through several LEGO dimensions. Each character is loveable and offers something to the film.
The animation will blow you away. It looks and moves like it is stop-motion but it is completely computer animated. The amount of detail that went into the film and how realistic the LEGOs look is insane. The opening scene of the city in motion is full of rich color and a very imaginative look that will hit you with nostalgia.
The movie takes an unexpected turn towards the end that audiences will either love or hate.
‘The LEGO Movie’ is probably the most effective toy ad of all time. You’ll definitely want to hit up your local toy shop and pick up your own set of LEGOs once you leave the theater.
