WOW.
That was all I was going to say for my review because that movie left me speechless but I figured I needed to do the movie justice.
‘Gravity‘ is a breath taking 90 minute thrill ride through space that will leave you more stressed out than a chicken at Chick-Fil-A.
You will need to pick your jaw off the popcorn ridden floor because the visual effects are enough to launch you into space. The lack of sound and addition of a dramatic soundtrack keeps the audience at the edge of their seat as Sandra Bullock drifts into the dark abyss.
George Clooney and Sandra Bullock have excellent chemistry as the pair try to dodge flying debris whizzing around the world at 20,000 mph. Clooney relies on his Clooney charm to keep Bullock cool as she gives a desperate and emotional performance.
Overall the film is a cohesive narrative with exciting visuals and heart racing action that my kids kids will still enjoy. Alfonzo Cuarón went beyond all expectations to show that, in fact, life in space is impossible.
P.S. Splurge a little and go see the film in 3D on the biggest screen possible because, and I don’t want to undersell this, it is the best movie you will see all year.
