Milla Jovovich’s days of zombie killing and monster slaying may be coming to an end.
In an interview with Collider, director Paul W.S. Anderson revealed the title of the next film and it may be the last.
“‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ is the working title,” said Anderson. “It may end up being the final title, but that’s what’s written on the front page of my script… I’m right in the middle of [the first draft]”.
When he was asked if it was for sure the final installment he replied “That’s what’s on the title page, it’s ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’, so absolutely.”
However, don’t be surprised if there is another sequel after this movie because the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise is one of the most successful in history. The five movies have brought in $916 million worldwide and the sixth movie looks to push it past the $1 billion mark.
We still have a while to wait before we find out as the film has yet to even start production yet.
