As expected, Donald Trump has taken a commanding lead of the New Hampshire Republican Primary. This news comes after a hectic run for the former television reality show host. This month, he has delivered a State of the Union address and been acquitted by the United States Senate.
The Associated Press reports that Trump has earned 85.9% of the vote and will likely away with all twenty-two delegates. Following behind him, Bill Weld gained 9.1% of the vote. Trailing behind in third place, Mary Maxwell and Joe Walsh tied with 0.6% of the vote.
Thus far, 76% of the state’s precincts have reported their results. Trump’s lead could grow as the remaining votes roll in. Moving forward, Trump will look towards primaries in Nevada and South Carolina at the end of February.
