Report: Timberwolves Looking To Trade Chase Budinger
According to league sources for Yahoo Sports, the Minnesota Timberwolves are actively shopping forward Chase Budinger in trade discussion. Sources said the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets have expressed interest, but both teams are reluctant to take on Budinger’s $5 million player option for 2015-16.
Detroit could use another wing option and shooter, particularly after Jodie Meeks’ recent injury, and Houston could certainly use the intangibles and athleticism of Budinger in their mix. The Rockets drafted Budinger in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft.
Budinger is guaranteed $5 million for the 2014-15 season. He averaged 6.7 points for the Timberwolves last season.
