In an attempt to add some front court depth, the Oklahoma City Thunder have traded for Nuggets power forward Joffrey Lauvergne. The french native Lauvergne was drafted 55th overall by the Nuggets in 2013 and went on to average 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, off 51% shooting from the field last year for them. Now the Thunder have traded two future second round picks to Denver for the young and skilled forward.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:
Denver has traded forward Joffrey Lauvergne to Oklahoma City for two future second-round picks, league sources tell @TheVertical.

The Nuggets were jam-packed on the front court end of things, with Nikola Jokic, Yusuf Nurkic, Juan Hernangomez, Kenneth Faried and Danilo Gallinari sharing time in the front-court, there was just no space for Lauvergne to grow or even to play. With the Thunder now at 16 players for their training camp, one player won’t making it, but with the Thunder’s own front-court woes, Lauvergne is a good shot to make it.
