It seems as if the past couple days, the Brooklyn Nets have been in trade discussions with everyone. Now the Minnesota Timberwolves have reached out to the Nets regarding trading Thaddeus Young. Young has been struggling this year, having career low’s in major categories.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN:
More importantly: Sources say one option that strongly interests Nets, IF Brook L trade goes down, is trying to deal Perk for Thaddeus Young

ESPN sources say Wolves are willing to move Thaddeus Young as part of ongoing rebuild and Young said to be high on list players BKN covets — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) January 16, 2015
The trade that Marc Stein is referring to is the Brook Lopez trade that would send Kendrick Perkins and a couple other Oklahoma City Thunder players to the Nets for Lopez. If that trade were to go down, a potential Kendrick Perkins for Thaddeus Young trade could occur. I don’t really know what Minnesota is doing with Thaddeus Young, but maybe they want to give a little bit more room for Andrew Wiggins to develop and Young may be hindering that. More news to come.
