The Houston Rockets are officially involved in the offseason. After a disappointing season that saw the team go through two different coaches, Houston needs a shake up.
That shake up may come in the form of some trades. According to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated and Liberty Ballers, the Rockets are shopping several players:
The Houston Rockets have called teams gauging interest in Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley and K.J. McDaniels, according to a league source.

K.J. McDaniels is an intriguing piece here. The 23-year-old is a super athletic wing with plenty of potential that is asking to be tapped into. Nevertheless, there are questions about McDaniels especially with his lack of a jumpshot. But McDaniels can be a contributor to a good team.
Patrick Beverley and Trevor Ariza are both good players who have been major contributors in Houston. However, they are expendable if the Rockets find a good enough trade. The worry, of course, is that by trading away those two players or even McDaniels, for that matter, Houston would be giving away its best perimeter defenders.
Houston struggled mightily on the defensive end last season and although Ariza and Beverley were imperfect, they were the best options. However, they could mitigate that risk by looking at a rumored trade like this one:
In preliminary trade talks, Houston pitched the Sixers a package involving Trevor Ariza and Patrick Beverley for Nerlens Noel, per source.

Noel has also been shopped around in trade talks and could be had for the right price. He could be a great fit in Houston as a rim protector and pick and roll threat.
That all said, the Rockets have questions to answer about the state of their team. They need to make changes in order to be a contender once again and that may require making rough decisions.
