This has gone on for so long it’s getting stupid. Here’s the summary of Phoenix vs Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe wants a max deal (5-year $84 Million) but Phoenix are choosing to offer only 4-Year, $48 Million. That is literally it. All these weeks and that’s the only action that has happened. Tragic I know.
But there is now some movement as Phoenix are now looking to trade off Eric Bledsoe according to SLAMonline.
“It’s got to be right. It’s got to be the right return in what they are looking for. It’s to the point that if they can accommodate Bledsoe and get something they want in return, trade possibilities are very, very real and they have been discussed.”
“That’s where the relationship went south in the early weeks last year,” LaCava said. “The guys at the top made a decision that we’re not going to extend you right away, we want to see you play first. And I think that was a bit of an affront, at least from Eric Bledsoe’s perspective. And I don’t think it ever recovered after that.” (Quotes via Phoenix broadcaster Jude LaCava)
We all knew that the relationship was dead weeks ago and I’m surprised this didn’t happen earlier. If they can get a trade going where they can get a solid Small Forward, I can see this team going to the Playoffs. Question is. What team wants Bledsoe?
