The Denver Nuggets recently fired Brian Shaw as their head coach, much to the shock of the NBA world. Players, coaches, and executives spoke out against the firing and calling it non sense. The Denver Nuggets then hired interim head coach Melvin Hunt. The Denver Nuggets’ have been 6-3 while Hunt has been coach, and although they don’t seem to be going in the right direction, things seem to have gotten just a little bit better in Denver.
According to Real GM:
“As an organization, we have all been impressed with the JOB Melvin has done thus far,” Tim Connelly said. “When the season concludes, he will be one of the candidates as we begin an exhaustive search to find a head coach.”
No one really knows about Melvin Hunt and his style of coaching, but whatever it is, it is working with this young and raw Denver Nuggets team. One thing I do know is that the Denver Nuggets should not be considering a coach just because of 9 games. I’m not convinced yet, and I still don’t believe it was a coaching issue in Denver.
