Jeremy Lin will be one of the most sought after guards in free agency this summer. In a class bereft of many good ones, Lin’s great season in Charlotte will have teams clamoring for his services.
It appears that the Hornets may be unable to re-sign the point guard as several teams will make bids on him. Among those teams is the Brooklyn Nets, at least according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer (h/t Ananth Pandian of CBS Sports):
Hearing chatter Nets might hard-sell Jeremy Lin. As I wrote Sunday, chances less than 50-50 he's back in Charlotte.

Lin and the Nets seem like a great match. Brooklyn is in dire need of talent. Although they will be nowhere near being a contender next season, they have no reason to tank. With no draft pick to speak of, Brooklyn will attempt to win games, even if that is a tough task to achieve. Lin is still young and could be useful for both the present and future of the franchise.
For Lin, Brooklyn offers one of a few destinations in the league that has a need for a starting point guard. In backing up Kemba Walker in Charlotte, Lin showed that he could do well in a bigger role. Playing in New York once again could be a great way of proving it.
Jeremy Lin will certainly have many suitors. But it is difficult to envision a much better scenario than going to Brooklyn for either party.
