We all know the intentions for the Sixers. Tank. And they did reasonably well in them terms. Second worst record in the league and a truckload of draft picks (at the expense of losing Holiday, Hawes and Turner)
But all this tanking has reportedly been to the detriment of their flat top center Nerlens Noel who’s been recovering from a nasty torn ACL suffered during his freshman season in Kentucky, has reportedly (according to Pro Basketball Talk) been 100% for a few months.
I feel great and continue to get stronger in all parts of my body, just continuing my growth really.
I will be playing in summer games and summer league. – Nerlens Noel talking to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe
I was one of those people that said it couldn’t hurt giving him some minutes but obviously the Sixers found no point in doing that.
I still think Nerlens is legit. I watched his games in Big Blue Nation and I was hooked. Nerlens along with ROY, Michael Carter-Williams and their two top 20 Draft picks will be a great young squad and I’ll say this now. They’ll be in the Playoffs next season. Book it.
