Conley was traded to Utah in 2019 just after the season finished, ending his 12-year stint with the Memphis Grizzlies.
In the two years he’s spent in Utah, he has been two times to the playoffs, losing in 2020 in the first round against the Denver Nuggets and in 2021 in the conference semi-finals against the Los Angeles Clippers. Also, he finally got an All-Star nod in the past season, the first in his career.

With this move, the Jazz organization is betting on the continuity of the group to finally make the jump to Conference Finals and a championship in the next couple of years. Most of the core is inked to be in Utah for at least the next two seasons or more, Conley was one of the few that had his contract expiring up.
This last season, the veteran guard played in 51 games and averaged 16.2 points, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29.4 minutes per game.
