After struggling throughout the first half of the NBA season, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are back. They’ve won 19 of their past 21 games and they seem to be on an unstoppable roll. They won 15 games in a row until being strangely stopped by the Indiana Pacers and now LeBron wants more MVP consideration.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN:
“James does care about team success first, but he also cares deeply about individual awards. That includes right now and the developing MVP race. He has been privately wondering why he’s not more involved in the national conversation on the matter considering his play over the last quarter of the season.”
He is definitely in the conversation and personally I think when it’s all said and done it’s between him and the amazing Stephen Curry, who is having a break out season. You will see the Cleveland Cavaliers late in the playoffs and LeBron James as their leader. I don’t see why LeBron James isn’t considered more, but the fact is, he’s been injured and his first half struggles highlight that Stephen Curry has just a little bit more of an edge then him.
