The New York Knicks are about to make a huge mistake. They are about to re-sign Andrea Bargnani. Bargnani was traded by the Raptors a couple years ago in a trade that made Toronto a LOT better without him (Raptors fans rejoice). The Knicks essentially got robbed. Andrea Bargnani who has a whopping contract of 5 years $50 million, might be a New York Knick again.
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post:
“According to an NBA source, Jackson still is a fan and has INTEREST in bringing Bargnani back for the right price because of his length, post defense and ability to score and pass in the structured system.”
I’ll give Andrea Bargnani some credit, since coming back from injury issues, he’s showed up to play. Scoring in the 20’s two nights in a row, and grabbing rebounds as well. That being said, the guy doesn’t have a very high ceiling, and this is about as good as he’s going to get. Knicks fans should be scared.
