More teams are set to meet with Durant and now the 2nd tier of teams have set up meeting with him.
According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, Kevin Durant is set to meet with the Clippers, Heat and Boston Celtics:
Kevin Durant and his representatives have added free-agency meetings with the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers, a league source confirmed to ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
The three additions join previously reported plans for face-to-face talks with the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Clippers, Heat and Celtics all show promise to bring Durant to where he wants to be in terms of contending for an NBA championship. The Heat and Warriors have already been mentioned to be the real suitors for Durant this offseason but that doesn’t mean other teams won’t try. Durant will consider all his options, including the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks who have been rumored to try to set up meetings of their own with the former MVP. Kevin Durant will look to sign a max or near max deal with any of the teams that are interested and now, he has tons of suitors. Durant’s options won’t be limited and now he can add the Clippers, Heat and Celtics to that list.
