Report: Kevin Durant Practices Monday, Could Be Back Within A Week
The Oklahoma City Thunder lost their two best players to injury and now face a crucial point in their season. Russell Westbrook came back with guns blazing in his return with a 32-7-8 performance against the Knicks, but the Thunder are still waiting on the reigning MVP.
Durant is very close to his return and went through practice on Monday, from ESPN’s Royce Young:
Scott Brooks says no changes as of yet with Durant’s status. Says he’s progressing and went through a full practice today though.

Chris Broussard reports that the Thunder hope to have Kevin Durant back on the court in a week’s time, although his official timetable is not set.
Oklahoma City has an incredible challenge of hitting the ground running at full throttle when both of their superstars are back in the line up. The ultra competitive and deep Western Conference has several teams on a running start on Oklahoma City.
The Thunder have the Pelicans on Tuesday, Philly on Friday, Detroit on Sunday and Milwaukee next Tuesday. Westbrook and Ibaka might be able to hold them for a week, but the 5-12 Thunder need to start themselves on a healthy winning streak with Kevin Durant returning very soon.
