Nelson sustained a quad injury in the first quarter of Sundays game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The wideout had seven catches for 79 yards and a touchdown in week 1 which made it even more disappointing that he left the contest without a catch. Already missing offensive players David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga, the packers find themselves hurting and down 34-10 before scoring twice late in the game.
Nelsons running mate Randall Cobb also went down with a shoulder injury but it is considered even less serious as he is day-to-day, and expects to play week 3 easily.
