This morning, JaVale McGee committed to signing with the Boston Celtics after clearing waivers. Now we hear that negotiations have gone south and he will NOT sign with the Celtics.
According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald and Adrian Woj of Yahoo! Sports:

Most teams want control of McGee next year, if they sign him for rest of '14-15. That way, if he plays well, they have him under contract.

Toronto is one of several teams with plans to check back on McGee, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. GM Masai Ujiri had McGee in Denver.

The thing is, JaVale McGee, along with numerous other players who get thrown into trade talks all the time, wants stability. He wants a team that could selfishly benefit him, and he has the right too. He knows he has the ability and talent to be an NBA player, now he just wants teams to believe in him enough, not to throw him into every trade. That’s exactly what he wanted with a player option, rather then a team option. Teams that are still in the run to get McGee include the Hawks, Mavericks, Raptors, Warriors, and basically any other playoff team.
