The Indiana Pacers have started on a hot streak going 12-5 to start the season. That surprising start may have the team looking to bolster its depth in order to make a run once the playoffs are here.
According to Marc Spears of ESPN, that could happen through trading forward Solomon Hill:
The Pacers, amid their stunning 12-5 start, have made swingman Solomon Hill available via trade, according to league sources
This is a somewhat surprising development. The 24-year-old Hill was a huge part of the Pacers’ team last season, starting the majority of games in Paul George’s absence and playing well. With George back full time, however, Hill has found himself mostly out of the rotation having played only 44 minutes in seven games.
If the rumor is indeed true, it will be interesting to see what the Pacers can get for Hill. They will surely look to add some depth, particularly in their big-man rotation. With Hill having not played much this season, it will be interesting to see what other teams are willing to give up for a player who has not shown a whole lot in his NBA career and whose age makes his potential slightly less intriguing.
