The Houston Rockets have been in the news quite a bit in the past week. After a disappointing start to the season, everyone is looking towards the team to see what changes they make. The Rockets have already fired head coach Kevin McHale, but many are looking at the team to see if they will make personnel changes in the form of trades. Despite GM Daryl Morey’s insistence that they will not do so, there are now reports emerging about the Rockets’ interest in Suns’ forward Markieff Morris:
ESPN sources say the Houston Rockets have trade interest in Markieff Morris, who was a DNP-CD in the Suns' narrow loss Sunday to Memphis

Remains to be seen if other suitors emerge for Markieff Morris, which becomes easier Dec. 15 when 100+ new players become trade eligible

This trade scenario makes some sense on the outside. Morris is a stretch-4 who could help the Rockets stretch the floor, something they need for their style of play. However, Morris, whose twin brother Marcus played for Houston for a short while, has not played well this season. After a tumultuous summer where he seemed intent on leaving Phoenix after the organization traded his brother, Morris has struggled to find any sort of rhythm and consistency.
Additionally, the attitude issues that arose during the offseason are a huge question mark. Houston has suffered from a lack of effort from its stars as well as some potential locker room turmoil. Adding another player who seems to not get along well with others may be too risky of a move.
