The Chris Bosh saga has been an ongoing one in the basketball world. The Miami Heat big man has had complications due to a blood clot. Bosh has maintained that he wants to keep playing basketball despite not being cleared to play, yet. The Heat, meanwhile, seem to be moving on from Bosh, potentially using some strategically shady methods.
Meanwhile, it appears Bosh may be willing to sit out this season while he continues to get healthy.
Following from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald:
we hear Bosh – who wants to play again – isn’t necessarily planning to play this season.
At the moment, an attempted comeback next season is considered more likely (with another team, if he can find one to clear him medically), though it’s impossible for Bosh or anyone to know how soon he can play.
Bosh is making no attempt, at this time, to force the issue and make the Heat release him.
This is probably the right decision for Bosh. It appears his health issue isn’t going away quickly. Clearly, that’s the most important part of this whole story and Bosh should do everything he can to ensure his long-term health, first.
If that happens, then it would be great to see Chris Bosh on the basketball court again.
