First of all, any draft rumors could be smokescreens. There’s often incentive to provide incorrect information to other teams.
However, if this intel is at least somewhat correct, I don’t condone this strategy.
So Dan doesn’t really feel this strategy. I think it only works if you’re either a top 3 pick, or your in an extremely thin Draft. And of course this is a very deep Draft and it’s the no.6 pick.
But who’s to say they’ll give up the pick to get Kevin Love? As we all know there was some hype all on Love shaking hands with Rajon Rondo at Fenway.
I’ll tell you this… I’d happily take Love over any big man in this Draft.
