Austin Rivers has suffered a broken left hand, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. The Clippers’ guard will likely be out four to six weeks due to the injury to his non-dominant hand.

The injury to Rivers comes on the heels of a similar injury suffered by star big-man Blake Griffin. Already without arguably their best player due to a broken hand, the Clippers will now miss another rotation player.
The Clippers are currently the fourth seed in the West, having played extremely well so far in Griffin’s absence. Nevertheless, they need both their star and one of their better bench players healthy in order to make a run.
There have already been rumors about Griffin’s time in Los Angeles coming to an end. These continuous injuries probably add more fuel to the fire. It will take a lot from the Clippers to keep overcoming these losses as the playoffs near.
In the meantime, Rivers is trying to keep his spirits high as he works toward returning to his team:
One step back…two steps forward. I'll use this short time to get better and come back stronger. See y'all soon ?
