Is it possible to remix a remix?
Just a few weeks after sharing his most recent project, SadBoy Volume I, Reggie Becton has returned to his debut album, California. Building upon the original remix of “RM. 143” with Kenyon Dixon, the PG County native has recruited Slim of 112 and Ye Ali for another remix. The three-minute track brings Becton’s signature “R&Bounce” sound to new audiences as Slim and Ye Ali add new verses to the intimate track.
“In [high] school, I performed ‘Dance With Me’ in a school play and [sang] all of Slim’s parts. Now, I am on track with him,” Becton said about the opportunity to work on the track with his longtime collaborator, Ye Ali, and the legendary Slim of 112.
The future remains bright for the rising R&B artist as he delivers a new song and prepares the follow-up to SadBoy Volume I. Until then, check out the latest “RM. 143” remix below.
