Try moving. Then, try moving while you’re still moving on from someone else. On second thought, don’t do that. Having been there and done that, it’s not a lot of fun. Unfortunately, that’s the situation that Reggie Becton finds himself in during the “Issues” video.
Directed by Chris & Moy, “Issues” follows the life of the young R&B star as he struggles to make sense of the tough times endured during a passionate relationship. Through it all, he finds himself reflecting on all the good and bad memories that arise when a relationship ends.
“Throughout college, I was in a situationship with a girl I met in high school, and from the inception of our relationship we were always having ‘issues.’ Through the years we would always reconnect but go nowhere. The final collision in our traffic came the night before I moved to LA. At that time, I think I was in such a fragile state due to preparing for this big move, not knowing how things would turn out, leaving family and friends behind, that’s when she didn’t come to see me, I was hurt,” Becton said about his new single.
Uncertainty, heartbreak and pain are never fun to deal with, but they do make for incredible art. With that said, check out Reggie Becton as he works through a few “Issues” in his latest video.
