DeSean Jackson is the best playmaker on the Washington Redskins this season. He’s a fast receiver who makes big plays and can outrun most NFL defensive backs.
The issue now for the speedster is that he has injured his hamstring and without it being at full health, the former pro-bowler’s explosiveness could possibly take a dramatic hit. Without D-Jax, the Redskins offense over the next month might lose some speed.

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss three to four weeks with the strained hamstring he suffered Sunday, coach Jay Gruden said Monday.
Jackson underwent an MRI on Monday. Gruden said it’s possible Jackson could return earlier than expected, “but you never know with a hamstring.”
Jackson suffered the injury on the first play of the Redskins’ second series in the first quarter, when he ran a deep route on an overthrow by quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Jackson missed the entire preseason with a Grade 2 separated shoulder after running into a blocking sled during training camp. He grabbed at his leg after the first play of the game and was worked on by trainers for several minutes on the sideline.
Without Jackson the Redskins will now look to receivers like Pierre Garcon and Andre Roberts to supplement the loss of the speedy wideout. The problem is, the two receivers don’t have the same explosiveness as Jackson considering he is one of the best receivers when it comes to passes deep down field.
