As a Raptors fan, this game was brutal to watch, there was no energy and the team tied for the best record in the NBA wasn’t showing why. They flat out sucked in the first 3 quarters of this game. In the 1st quarter they were outscored 32-24. Even though playing this awful game, the Toronto Raptors stole one from the Orlando Magic 104-100. The Orlando Magic played their hearts out, especially their main cast of Frye, Haris, Vucevic, and Fournier. Those 4 combined for 11 of the total 12 3 pointers made by the Orlando Magic. The Raptors on the other hand, made it past this game purely because of their bench in the 4th Quarter. Patrick Patterson and Lou Williams combined for 26 points. Oh and the Raptors wore Camo Sleeved jerseys to commemorate Veterans and Remembrance Day.
Analysis: Are the Toronto Raptors (sitting at 7-1) the best team in the NBA right now? They’ve been playing good basketball and they do sit on top of the eastern conference alone, but its a reach to say they are the BEST team in the NBA. Memphis, Houston, Golden State, and Chicago have been playing good basketball and Cleveland is bound to get back in the mix sometime soon. Make no mistake, the Toronto Raptors are here to make a statement. Sometimes overlooked, the Raptors are trying to cement themselves as playoff contenders, and they are a force to be reckon with this year. #WeTheNorth.
