A young, upstart roster of potentially talented players in the future is what the Philadelphia 76ers currently have. Potential though, doesn’t win you games and that evident enough as the Sixers lost at home to the Boston Celtics 101-90. Philadelphia has lost 11 straight.
Brandon Bass scored 23 points with 6 rebounds off the bench to lead the Celtics, Jared Sullinger added 22 with 9 rebounds. Jeff Green, the star now for the Celtics, had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds but shot 5-13. Marcus Thornton had 11 points and 4 steals off the bench. Rajon Rondo put up 9 points with 13 assists.
Sullinger’s fellow former Ohio State Buckeye and former member of the Sixers, Evan Turner, only put up 2 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists for the Celtics coming off the bench in 15 minutes of play, yet he managed to make a lasting image for the Philly faithful.
