RECAP: Sixers Stay Winless, Fall To Trail Blazers 114-104
The Portland Trail Blazers hand the Philadelphia 76ers their 14th consecutive loss on the season with a 114-104 win in Philadelphia on Monday night. LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with a season-high 33 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams had a team-high 24 points for the 76ers.
Philadelphia had a two-point lead at halftime (52-50) after posting a 30-point second quarter. The Sixers had 20 productive bench points at the half, where the Trail Blazers had already committed 13 total turnovers. But Portland responded with a 39-28 third quarter advantage much due to Damian Lillard getting himself going. The Trail Blazers grabbed 18 offensive rebounds and dominated the overall battle 52-29.
Henry Sims finished with a season-high 22 points and Tony Wroten added 20 points for the Sixers.
Portland moves to 11-3 and Philadelphia falls to 0-14, one loss shy of the franchise record for worst start to the season.
