San Antonio Slips Past Dallas Down The Stretch For 93-89 Win; Series Tied 2-2
The San Antonio Spurs held off a 53-point second half and a late run by the Mavericks for a 93-89 win in Game 4. Boris Diaw made the go-ahead three-pointer with 32.9 seconds left and Manu Ginobili finished with a team-high 23 points to lead a 50-point effort from the Spurs bench.
The Spurs earned themselves a 20-point lead that almost immediately started dwindling at the end of the third quarter and into the fourth. Dallas gained much of their momentum from former Spur DeJuan Blair, who tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds (5 off) in 15 minutes before being ejected for kicking Tiago Splitter with 3:08 remaining.
Monta Ellis finished with a team-high 20 points for Dallas on 6-for-20 shooting. Dirk Nowitzki had 19 points and 7 rebounds.
