RECAP: Portland Ends Houston’s Season With 99-98 Win On Damian Lillard Buzzer-Beater in Game 6
The Portland Trail Blazers advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs for the first time in 14 years by knocking off the Houston Rockets 99-98 in Game 6. Damian Lillard made a buzzer-beating three-pointer on a sideline out of bounds play with 0.9 seconds left in regulation. Lillard had 25 points and shot 6-for-10 from the three-point line. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with a team-high 30 points and 13 rebounds for Portland.
It was another game of heavy blows exchanged by two offensive-powered teams. James Harden broke out for possibly his best career postseason game with a team-high 34 points for Houston. Dwight Howard dominated most of the fourth quarter where he scored 13 of his 26 points, but the Trail Blazers literally made one too many shots for the Rockets in the end. Check out Lillard’s game-winning three-pointer below.
Portland will take on the winner of San Antonio and Dallas, who will play their decided Game 7 on Sunday.
