RECAP: Pacers Take It To The Mavericks On The Road, Win 111-100
The Indiana Pacers might be without George Hill, Paul George, David West, and Roy Hibbert, but they had enough to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.
The Pacers beat the Mavericks 111-100 in Dallas. Donald Sloan led the Pacers with a game-high 29 points and six other players scored in double figures for Indiana. Monta Ellis finished with a team-high 24 points for Dallas. Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Indiana played a gritty and efficient basketball game on 48% shooting from the field (over 50% in the first half). Frank Vogel’s club managed to put up two consecutive 30-point quarters (2nd and 3rd) and frankly beat the Mavericks at their own scoring game. The Pacers, led primarily by Sloan’s scoring and playmaking in the half court, went 13-for-26 (50%) from the three-point line.
Dallas picked up their energy in the second half and shot 50% from the field for the game, although Brandan Wright was their only spark off the bench with an aggressive 13 points on 6-for-6 shooting.
The Pacers are now 6-8 and the Mavericks are 10-5.
