RECAP: Oklahoma City Rallies For 105-92 Win In Game 4; Series Tied 2-2
The Oklahoma City Thunder imposed their athleticism and will on the San Antonio Spurs to win their second game at home 105-92 in Game 4. Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 40 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Kevin Durant had 31 points for Oklahoma City. The series is now tied 2-2.
San Antonio was off to a 12-4 start and appeared to be the sharper, more aggressive team until the Russell Westbrook onslaught began. The combination of Westbrook’s daunting defense and restless offensive attack with Serge Ibaka’s continued paint presence simply wore down the Spurs on both ends. They shot under 40% from the field for the second straight game. Serge Ibaka had 3 of Oklahoma City’s 8 total blocked shots. The Thunder also managed to commit only 7 turnovers to San Antonio’s 13. No one for the Spurs was able to score 15 points. Tony Parker and Boris Diaw both finished with a team-high 14 points apiece.
The Spurs have now lost nine straight games in Oklahoma City dating back to 2012.
Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals is on Thursday at 9 PM EST on TNT.
