RECAP: Oklahoma City Forces Game 7 With Commanding 104-84 Win In Memphis
The Oklahoma City Thunder rallied behind their best player and an engaged, stifling defense to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 108-84 in Game 6. Kevin Durant finished with 35 points and 10 rebounds while Russell Westbrook contributed 25 points and 9 rebounds for Oklahoma City.
Scott Brooks made a noticeable adjustment by starting Caron Butler over Thabo Sefolosha, who ended up not seeing the floor at all in this game. The Thunder were able to score efficiently in the half court and disrupt the controlled Grizzlies offense that has given them many problems in the series. Memphis shot just 37% from the field and lost the rebounding battle 47-36. Mike Conley, Jr. left the game in the second half with a right hamstring injury, which will be a factor for Memphis to assess for Game 7.
Marc Gasol finished with 17 points and Zach Randolph had 16 points for Memphis.
The almighty Game 7 for this series will take place this Saturday on TNT.
