RECAP: Oklahoma City Bounces Back For 107-96 Win In Game 3
The Oklahoma City Thunder were ignited by the return of forward Serge Ibaka and wore down the San Antonio Spurs for a 107-96 win in Game 3. Russell Westbrook had a team-high 26 points for the Thunder along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Kevin Durant finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Ibaka was listed as day-to-day and rumored to be returning from his left calf injury in Game 3 after being pronounced out for the remainder of the playoffs. His presence was a glaring difference for Oklahoma City on both ends of the floor, making his first four shots in the first quarter and providing his usual paint resistance throughout the game on defense with 4 blocked shots. The Thunder were also impacted by inserting Reggie Jackson (15 points) into the starting line up and increasing Jeremy Lamb’s minutes on the wing. Tony Parker struggled to find his rhythm for San Antonio with just 9 points on 4-0f-13 shooting. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green also only combined for 18 points on 7-for-29 shooting. Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 23 points off the bench.
Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals is on Tuesday at 9 PM EST on TNT.
