The Denver Nuggets started off weak in the season, but are starting to pick it up, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-100. This game wasn’t even close mid-way through the third, but the Thunder caught up outscoring Denver 26-19 in the 4th. The strange thing was that the Nuggets are the second best team in the NBA in 4th quarter point differential. Ty Lawson had 15 points and 15 assists, and Timofey Mozgov added 17 points. Serge Ibaka added 22 points and 13 rebounds but the Thunder couldn’t outlast the Nuggets.
Analysis: The Oklahoma City Thunder move into the last spot in the western conference, with the Los Angeles Lakers winning against the Rockets yesterday. Is it too early to put them out of the playoffs? Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook don’t come back until December so should we be scared? I don’t think so, I think they need to just get as much wins as possible until they come back, and let those two put the teams on their backs. They’ll be fine.
